From a Single Trompo

Angel’s Tijuana Tacos began in 2018, when Angel rolled a folding table, a small grill, and one trompo of al pastor onto a North Hollywood sidewalk. Powered by mesquite charcoal and Guerrero-style marinades, the little street stand drew crowds that wrapped the block. What started as a late-night experiment quickly became a mission: prove you can serve restaurant-quality tacos without losing street-food soul.

Hustle on Wheels

The aroma of charred asada—and a flood of social-media fans—carried Angel’s to new corners of L.A. Within two years, a fleet of roving puestos was feeding neighborhoods from Echo Park to Van Nuys. Today, our trucks and tents still keep that spirit alive every night they hit the curb.

Brick-and-Mortar #1 — Anaheim

After millions of tortillas and countless 2 a.m. clean-ups, we took the sizzle indoors. In April 2025 we opened our first permanent taquería at 3436 W Lincoln Ave, Anaheim. The 35-seat shop brings mesquite grills, trompo theater, and a full salsa bar under one roof—without losing the informal vibe that made the stand famous.

Brick-and-Mortar #2 — Santa Ana (Coming Soon)

Our Santa Ana food truck—currently stationed at Central Ave & S Birch St—is handing off its seasoned crew to our next big step: a restaurant at 2600 W Edinger Ave, Santa Ana, CA 92704. Construction is underway, and the grills are almost ready to roar.

Built by Community

Angel still jumps behind the trompo, mentors new taqueros, and hosts regular charity nights that funnel taco-powered proceeds back into local youth programs. Giving back is as core to the brand as the mesquite smoke in our tortillas.

From a single lamp-lit corner in North Hollywood to a growing OC foothold, Angel’s Tijuana Tacos is building a Southern California taco empire one handmade tortilla at a time. Next on deck: more OC neighborhoods, a bottled-salsa line, and nationwide shipping—because everyone deserves a taste of border-town heat.
